SÜMER TİLMAÇ ANTALYA FILM SUPPORT FUND REGULATIONS
The Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund will be awarded to support a feature film to be filmed partially in Antalya at the writing stage, promote filmmaking in Antalya, a city with natural filming locations and the most convenient daylight conditions for filming in Turkey, and help make Antalya one of the most prominent locations for the Turkish and world film industries.
The Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund will be awarded to one feature film project, as part of the Antalya Film Forum, to be held between October 22-26, 2017.
III- APPLICATION AND SELECTION
a. The Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund is open to applications by owners of feature fiction or documentary film scripts written within the past one-year period, to be produced in Turkey. At least one third of the filming of applying projects must take place in Antalya.
b. Feature film scripts that apply for the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund must be in final form.
c. Applying films must include at least one scene identifiably filmed in the city of Antalya.
c. Applications for the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund can only be made by producers authorized by a written contract that arranges the transfer of the financial rights of the film with the screenwriter and director of the project.
d. All productions to apply for the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund must specify their producers and directors as well as their screenwriters at the time of application, and all information regarding these persons must be complete.
e. At least six candidates must be selected for the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund to be awarded. The Forum management reserves the right not to make a statement about the selection.
f. The Forum management will not declare the list of applying scripts, or provide information about the applying projects. Only the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund candidate list will be announced, among which the jury will select the recipient.
g. During the selection of the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund candidates, industry professionals such as producers, directors, screenwriters and actors, as well as film critics, academics or lecturers may be consulted. The final list of candidates will be decided by the Forum management.
h. Applicants must complete the online application form at vp.eventival.eu/aff/2017 by September 11, 2017. Applications with missing or incorrect information or documents will not be accepted.
a. The jury to select the candidate scripts for the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund will be appointed by the Antalya Film Forum management.
b. The jury may consist of film producers, directors, film critics, actors, film historians, film professionals working in technical areas, academics or renowned persons in different disciplines of art related to cinema.
c. The Forum management will ensure the presence of a neutral non-voting representative at the jury decision meeting. This representative will present an informational note to the jury in written and spoken form based on the articles of the regulations regarding the presentation of the award. The jury will make their selection in accordance with this informational note.
d. A translator to be appointed by the Forum management can join the jury meetings and provide assistance where needed. With the exception of this case, and the case specified in article c, no other persons than the jury members can be present at the jury meetings.
e. The jury cannot divide the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund prize between multiple projects, or present an additional award.
f. The jury will hand over the reports signed by all members to the Forum management before the announcement of the decision.
f. Throughout the Forum, the jury is not allowed to make written or spoken declarations regarding the applying projects or the award until the time of the announcement of the award.
Upon review of the scripts applying for the Antalya Film Support Fund, the jury will announce the project winning the 100.000 Turkish Lira prize at the award ceremony. The prize money will be paid upon the written approval of the filming of the project by a professional association working in the area of film production.
VI - COMMITMENT AND AUTHORITY
a. The award will become valid in the case that filming starts within one year following October 2017. If filming has not started by November 2018, the award will expire.
b. The production awarded the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund is responsible from specifying the award won by the project along with the International Antalya Film Festival and Antalya Film Forum logos, in the opening and closing credits of their film, their press releases and newspaper advertisements, and all publicity material related to their film.
c. The producer of the project awarded the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund is responsible from submitting a monthly status report regarding the developments in the project to the Antalya Film Forum management.
d. By applying for the Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Support Fund to be awarded as part of the Antalya Film Forum, the applying projects commit to abide by the requirements specified in the regulations.
e. The forum management reserves the right to decide on matters not specified in the regulations.
