In her early thirties, Meryem makes a living by babysitting for a middle class family, while also taking care of her own children and her mother with Alzheimer’s. Being treated like a member of the family by the household she works for leads Meryem to an illusion of belonging, which is further supported by the self-help books she discovers in her employer's house. Following these new teachings that influence her, and charmed with the lifestyle she partakes in, Meryem decides to reset her priorities in life, but chooses the worst day possible to take action.
Yağmur Mısırlıoğlu
Born in 1991, in Istanbul. She majored in philosophy, graduating from Galatasaray University in 2015, then she finished Prague Film School in 2017, graduating from the directing and screenwriting department. During her high school years, she worked as an assistant director for established theater companies. After making a career shift towards filmmaking in 2013, she has taken part in various national and international feature, short and commercial films.
