In His Fortress

A young woman loses her father unexpectedly. Even though she wants to dissociate herself from everything, her father's house needs to be packed. While she gets stuck between her father's belongings and memories, her relationship with the house starts to have its own ups and downs. The grieving process begins to take shape, influenced by the spirit of the house.

Yasemin Demirci

İstanbul based filmmaker Demirci studied acting at Kadir Has University but instead pursued her filmmaking career. She studied directing and screenwriting at Prague Film School. After graduating in 2015, she was accepted to the Kingston University of London Film Studies Department and graduated in 2019. She made several short films which were screened at worldwide festivals including Camerimage, Tirana International Film Festival, Antalya Golden Orange Festival, Istanbul Film Festival and Venice Film Week. She is working on her first feature film project in Istanbul.
