Seventeen year old Cemre has been preparing for the provincial swimming team for years. After a good workout, her trainer advises her to go easy on herself, eat well and get a good night’s sleep before the race. However, Cemre's efforts to spare time for her high school exams, boyfriend and family will not make it possible for her to follow her trainer’s advice. After a sleepless night, Cemre is late for the competition due to a traumatic incident. Nevertheless, her attitude towards this incident will also be unexpected.
Çağıl Bocut
After graduating from Boğaziçi University and completing their master's degree in Film Production at Kingston University in London, Bocut served as the department head of Digital Film and Animation department between 2010-2012, at the Istanbul branch of SAE Institute, one of the world's most experienced and prominent multimedia education institutions. In 2018, Bocut completed their doctoral studies in the Cinema and Television department at Marmara University. In 2021, Bocut directed and wrote their debut film Sardunya and received several awards, including Best First Film, Best Cinematography and Best Actress at the 40th Istanbul Film Festival, as well as Best First Film at the 31st Cottbus Film Festival and the 32nd Ankara Film Festival.
