Competing Films Announced for the Golden Orange Documentary and Short Film Competition!
The 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality between October 7-14, has revealed the productions that will compete in the National Documentary Film and Short Film Competitions. The selection committee, consisting of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gürata, Senem Erdine, and Engin Palabıyık selected 8 films for the Documentary Film Competition and 14 films for the Short Film Competition this year.
8 Films Will Compete in the National Documentary Film Competition
Eight films have been chosen from a pool of 56 applicants to participate in the National Documentary Film Competition, where the latest documentary films of the year come together. Blue ID, co-directed by Burcu Melekoğlu and Vuslat Karan, Eclipse, co-directed by İpek Kent and Efe Öztezdoğan, My Life Is A Movie, directed by Serdal Doğan, My Name Is Happy co-directed by Nick Read and Ayşe Toprak, Philosophy directed by Münir Alper Doğan, The Aegean Sun directed by Ömer Gümüşer, The Decree directed by Nejla Demirci, and Who Are You? directed by Cenk Kaptan will compete for the Golden Orange in the National Documentary Film Competition.
14 Films Will Compete in the National Short Film Competition
In the National Short Film Competition, 14 films were selected from 164 submissions. At Last, directed by Resmiye Emir, Between Delicate And Violent, directed by Şirin Bahar Demirel, Cheers To The End, directed by Yiğit Hepsev, Croissant directed by Aziz Alaca, Dank directed by Tuvana Simin Günay, Every Day It Gets A Little Easier directed by Çağıl Bocut, How Many Days Will It Last directed by Abdullah Çeper, How To Disappear directed by Tilbe Cana İnan, I Am Not Supermarket directed by Ekrem Ayhan Çakay, In His Fortress directed by Yasemin Demirci, River directed by Doğan Belge, Small Finds directed by Sevgi Ortaç, The Longest Night directed by Can Merdan Doğan and Things Unheard Of directed by Ramazan Kılıç are the films selected for the Short Film Competition of the festival.
The awards, including The Best Film Award in the National Documentary Film Competition, which includes prize money of TRY 60 thousand, The Special Jury Award in the National Documentary Film Competition, which includes prize money of TRY 30 thousand, The Best Film Award in the National Short Film Competition, which includes prize money of TRY 30 thousand, and The Special Jury Award in the National Short Film Competition which includes prize money of TRY 20 thousand, will be presented during the awards ceremony scheduled for October 14th based on the main jury's evaluation.
