The 62nd edition of the festival will take place between 24 October and 2 November 2025. The Film Schools Student Film Competition will be held to support students studying cinema, bring them together with professionals and strengthen their creative potential.

Institutions providing film education across Turkey may participate in the competition, with each institution able to submit one film of up to 15 minutes in length. Works produced between 1 October 2024 and 30 July 2025 are eligible to participate in the Film Schools Student Film Competition.

Schools and students reaching the final stage of the festival will be accredited to view recent local and international films featured in the festival programme; they will also have the opportunity to meet with cinema professionals throughout the festival. The student film selected as 'Best Film' in the competition will be awarded the Golden Orange statuette.
