62ND INTERNATIONAL ANTALYA GOLDEN ORANGE FILM FESTIVAL SUCCESS AWARDS GO TO MERVE DİZDAR AND SELAHATTİN PAŞALI!

The 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, taking place from October 24 to November 2, 2025, will present Success Awards to Merve Dizdar and Selahattin Paşalı.

The winners of the Success Awards, presented to young actors and actresses for their outstanding performances at Turkey's premier cinema event, the Antalya International Golden Orange Film Festival, have been announced. This year, the Success Awards will be presented to Merve Dizdar and Selahattin Paşalı.

Merve Dizdar, who was awarded the Achievement Award at the 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, began her theatre career in 2010 with the play "Çok Yaşa Dünya." Dizdar performed in Stef Smith's "Yutmak" in 2017 and won the "Most Successful Female Actor of the Year" award at the Afife Theatre Awards for this performance. Merve Dizdar won the Golden Butterfly Achievement Award for the musical "Alice" and was nominated for the Best Actress award at the 27th Afife Theatre Awards for her performance in the play "İnsanlar Mekanlar Nesneler."

Merve Dizdar began her film career with the movie Bir Ses Böler Geceyi, in which she starred alongside Cem Davran. In 2014, she appeared in the film Mandıra Filozofu. Dizdar, who appeared in the 2016 film Yok Artık 2, starred in the 2017 films Organik Aşk Hikâyeleri and Körfez. She continued her career journey with the movie Batlır in 2018, Bir Aşk İki Hayat in 2019, and Eltilerin Savaşı in 2020. In 2022, Dizdar won the Best Actress award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and the 10th Bosphorus Film Festival for her performance in the film Kar ve Ayı. That same year, she was also honoured with the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actress. In 2023, Dizdar became the first Turkish actress to win the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in the film Kuru Otlar Üstüne. That same year, she was also honoured with the Erden Kıral Jury Special Award and the Best Actress award from the Cinema Writers Association (SIYAD).

Dizdar, who showcased his acting skills in the series "Yüz (Büyük Günahlar)" and "Sen Hiç Ateş Böceği Gördün mü?" broadcast on digital platforms, played the lead role in the 2022 series "Erşan Kuneri." Dizdar also starred in the 2023 series "Magarsus.

Selahattin Paşalı, recipient of the other 'Success Award'

Selahattin Paşalı, who was also honoured with the Success Award at the 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, began his acting career in 2017 with the TV series "Kalp Atışı," broadcast on Show TV. Selahattin Paşalı starred in the play "Photo 51" (2018), written by Anna Ziegler, which ran for an extended period.

Paşalı starred in the series Bir Umut Yeter in 2018, Leke in 2019, and Babil in 2020. Throughout his career, Paşalı has appeared in numerous television series and garnered significant acclaim for his roles in digital platform productions, including Aşk 101 and Pera Palas'ta Gece Yarısı. In 2022, he shared the lead role with Ece Çeşmioğlu in the film Mukavemet, directed by Soner Caner. He won the Best Actor award at the 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for his performance in the movie Kurak Günler, which had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section of the 75th Cannes Film Festival. That same year, his performance was recognised with Best Actor awards at the 33rd Ankara Film Festival and the 55th Cinema Writers Association (SIYAD) Awards. His acting in the film Kurak Günler received high praise from international critics at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. He also represented Turkey at prestigious international festivals such as Karlovy Vary and the Sarajevo Film Festival with Kurak Günler. Paşalı also starred in the series Ömer, which aired on Star TV in 2023.

Selahattin Paşalı took an important step in his career by landing the lead role in the series "Masumiyet Müzesi", which was filmed in 2025 and adapted from Orhan Pamuk's novel of the same name. The actor is also continuing to film another noteworthy series project as of 2025.

The Success Awards of the 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival will be presented to their recipients at the festival's opening ceremony on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

As part of the festival, the "Cinema Labour Award" will be presented to Feride Çiçekoğlu and the "Young Filmmaker Achievement Award" to Cansu Baydar at the opening ceremony on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
