Films Participating in the International Competition of the Golden Orange Film Festival Announced

The films competing for the “Golden Orange” award in the International Feature Film Competition at the 62nd Antalya International Golden Orange Film Festival have been announced.

The 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival will take place between October 24 and November 2, 2025, with 10 films competing in the International Feature Film Competition. A total of 10 films from around the world will compete for the Golden Orange statuette in the categories of Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Actor.

The United States, Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, France, Iran, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Colombia, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, and Turkey will present 10 films, which will be screened for the first time in Turkey at the 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival International Feature Film Competition.

Among the films in the “National Feature Film Competition” is Mad Bills to Pay, directed by Joel Alfonso Vargas, which explores complex themes such as class struggles, coming of age, and family relationships. Urchin, directed by Harris Dickinson and telling the story of Mike, a homeless man struggling to survive on the streets of London, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section and was awarded the FIPRESCI prize. Making its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Critics' Week selection, Adam's Sake is not just a mother-child drama but also a film that questions how institutions affect people and fail to do so, inviting the audience to understand rather than judge. Directed by Laura Wandel, Adam’s Sake, which had its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, tells the story of a quiet poet rising from the streets of Medellín. A Poet, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, a psychological dark comedy written and directed by Mary Bronstein, premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and has an energy that both makes the audience laugh bitterly and shocks them. International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, where it was first presented with the ‘Honorary Badge’. -France-Luxembourg co-production, Confidante, which tells the story of a woman working on 900-number lines in the 1990s whose life changes after a mysterious phone call. Johanna Moder's fourth feature film, Mother's Baby, about Julia, a successful 40-year-old orchestra conductor, and The Currents, directed by Milagros Mumenthaler, about Lina, a successful Argentine artist, Divine Comedy, which had its world premiere in the Orizzonti section of the 2025 Venice Film Festival, directed by Ali Asgari, which tells the story of a director struggling to complete his final work amid censorship obstacles, highlighting the search for freedom, creativity, and justice. The Oscar nominee for his country, Tereza Nvotová's family drama Otec (Father), focuses on Michal, Zuzana, and their daughter Dominika.

The awards for the 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival will be announced at the awards ceremony on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
