The 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, held between October 24 and November 2, 2025, brings together industry experts to offer different perspectives on the development of Turkish cinema.
Many topics will be discussed from October 27 to 31, ranging from financing to project presentations, new technologies to environmental approaches, and the filmmaking process.
The first event, which will bring together professionals from Turkey and around the world in Antalya, will take place on October 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Hotel Su, with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr Necla İlter Küçükçolak, Deputy General Manager of the Turkish Product Exchange (TÜRİB), and Assoc. Prof. Dr Nurdan Tümbek Tekeoğlu, European Film Academy (EFA) member and producer. In the workshop titled “Crowdfunding: A New Financing Tool for Independent Cinema,” Küçükçolak and Tekeoğlu will share successful crowdfunding applications and strategic planning processes with participants, drawing on their own experiences and field applications.
On October 28, festival attendees are in for a busy day. The discussion will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Atatürk Cultural Centre (AKM) Event Tent.
On the same day at Hotel Su at 1:00 PM, there will be a workshop sharing invaluable information for those stepping into the world of cinema: Producer Nefes Polat will lead a seminar titled “What Are Project and Application Files, and What Are They Not?” The workshop will cover the purpose of the files required for film fund, market, or development platform applications, whether these documents differ from presentations made to financiers, producers, or crew members, why multiple presentation documents are prepared during a film's production journey, and what the content of presentation documents consists of. Moderated by Gain Media Communications Director Firuze Abdulazizoğlu, it will feature Gain Media Content Strategy and Licensing Manager Şehnaz Uğur.
