FIRST GALA AT THE GOLDEN ORANGE: “GELİN TAKIMI 2” WAS IN FRONT OF THE AUDIENCE WITH ITS CREW
After a year, Altın Portakal reunited with its audience at the premiere of “Gelin Takımı 2.” The fun continued during the Q&A session with the film crew at the AKM Aspendos Hall; the hall echoed with laughter from both the crew and the audience.
The 62nd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival welcomed its audience with this year's first gala screening. Following the screening of “Gelin Takımı 2,” directed by Doğa Can Anafarta, at the Atatürk Cultural Centre (AKM) Aspendos Hall, the film crew also appeared before the audience.
Director Doğa Can Anafarta, actors Ecem Erkek, Nilperi Şahinkaya, and Baran Bölükbaşı, along with producer Emre Oskay, participated in a discussion that was just as entertaining as the film itself. Baran Bölükbaşı, recalling that he received his acting training in Antalya, said, “That's why it's so nice to watch the movie with you here. We enjoyed filming it as much as you enjoyed watching it, so thank you to everyone.
Ecem Erkek said, “We had five women on set, and we had a wonderful filming process without any arguments or problems,” and responded to criticism that the women's attitudes in the film were immature: “A 40-year-old woman, an 80-year-old woman, a widowed woman, or a woman with a 12-year-old child can laugh, have fun, and laugh out loud just like a young woman.”
Actress Nilperi Şahinkaya answered questions about her character Deniz in the film and shared her thoughts on the character.
Oskay, who mentioned that his first professional cinema experience was producing the film “Shadows and Forms” with Derviş Zaim, said, "I do different things; every film has a different journey. For example, Doğa Can, who was both the designer and director of the project even before the first film was made, came up with the idea of creating the Gelin Takımı brand. I really liked it, and in the end, the audience liked it too."
