This year, the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival Cinema Workshop will be held between October 10-12, 2024.

The participants of the workshop, which will consist of cinema professional organizations, associations, unions and cinema academics, will examine the current problems of cinema in Turkey in the center of various subject focuses. The workshop will be chaired and conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Perihan Taş Öz, Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Istanbul Kültür University, and Aydın Sayman, Secretary General of TÜRSAV, member of SE-YAP Board of Honor, member of Sinebir Board of Directors, screenwriter and director. The honorary advisors of the workshop are Mehmet E. Soyarslan, producer and founder of Özen Film; Sabahattin Çetin, producer, screenwriter and founder of Belge Film; and Prof. Dr. Hasan Akbulut, faculty member of Istanbul University Department of Radio, Cinema and Television.

The International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival Cinema Workshop, which will take place on October 10 - 12, 2024, will discuss the main problems related to the creation, production and distribution process of cinema films in nine sessions spread over three days. Working groups consisting of academics and professionals, as well as representatives of associations, foundations, professional unions, trade unions and relevant government agencies will discuss the relevant topics in nine sessions, each lasting three hours, and sign the final declarations.

In addition to the sessions where many important issues such as copyrights, copying fees, review of working conditions in cinema films and TV series sets, government support, overcoming production problems, academic and vocational education problems, film festivals, the structure and basic problems of movie theaters, the culture of watching in cinema, the basic problems in the production and screening process of documentary cinema, film distribution problems, classification and age decisions, cultural heritage and archiving in cinema will be discussed, two panels will be held within the workshop program.

The final declarations of the workshop will be published digitally and in hard copy after the festival and will be shared with the components of cinema life and relevant institutions. The workshop aims to write a final declaration after the discussions to be held within the framework of the proposed topics, and this declaration is aimed to be a guide and guide in the institutionalization of the field of cinema in Turkey, in solving the problems in the sector and in strengthening the relations between the sector components and academia.

The International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival Cinema Workshop will start with the opening reception on October 10, 2024 at 13.00 and end with the reading of the final declarations on October 12, 2024.
