Golden Orange Film Festival Cinema Schools Student Films Competition Jury Announced

The Jury of the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival's Cinema Schools Student Films Competition consists of Handan İpekçi, Mehmet Güleryüz and Aycan Çetin.

The jury of the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival Cinema Schools Student Films Competition, which will take place between October 5-12 this year, includes successful director Handan İpekçi, SETEM (Society of Cinema and Television Work Owners) General President Mehmet Güleryüz and producer Aycan Çetin.

This year, Golden Orange is starting an exciting adventure for film students. For the first time, film schools will compete in the festival. The competition, which will be taking place for the first time in the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, will be held within the scope of the festival in order to make student films shot in film schools visible, to evaluate the works of film-loving students and to encourage them.

The successes and work of the jury members of the “Cinema Schools Student Film Competition”, which will be held for the first time this year within the scope of the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, are drawing attention.

The successful director Handan İpekçi, who has won many national and international awards by making four feature films, two documentaries and one short film, was nominated for Turkey’s Oscar in 2001 with her film “Büyük Adam Küçük Aşk” and is currently working on the second of her short film trilogy; Mehmet Güleryüz, a graduate of the Philosophy Department of Istanbul University, known for his documentaries “History of Turkish Cinema” and the film “Havar” which was shown in international festivals, one of the founders of SETEM (Society of Cinema and Television Work Owners) and currently the General President; Aycan Çetin, a graduate of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, who started her film career in 1989 with the film “Umut Yarna Kaldı”, and who established the Z 1 Film Workshop with her master Yavuz Özkan, thus establishing Turkey’s first private free film and cartoon school, and who has won awards with her films such as “Bir Kadının Anatomisi” and “Yengeç Sepeti” are among the list.
