Gaza Mon Amour

Is the bachelor’s life really a king’s life? Or is the king’s life a cover for broken love stories? The film offers a bittersweet glimpse inside Hamas-controlled Gaza today through the story that unfolds around Issa, a 60-year-old fisherman secretly in love, when he lands an ancient statue in his nets one day. A powerful melodrama with snatches of comedy.

Tarzan & Arab Nasser

Twins Tarzan and Arab Nasser were born in Gaza, Palestine, in 1988. They studied Fine Arts at Al-Aqsa University where they became passionate about cinema and painting. In 2014, they directed their first feature film, Dégradé, which had its world premiere at Cannes’ Critics’ Week and was sold in a dozen territories worldwide. Gaza Mon Amour is their second feature-film. Its world premiere took place in September 2020 in the Official Selection in Orrizonti at the Venice Film Festival.
