The son of a religious father, Vural leads an ordinary life. They run a photographer’s shop opposite the American Consulate, mostly taking passport photos. He takes his father as an example, who advises him to be honest and warns him that Allah always watches over people. Vural gives similar advices to his son. He is a good son, a good father and a good husband. However, he has a secret that he hides from everyone. He has a secret relationship with Sonay, the cleaning lady in the neighborhood. Sonay dreams of going to America to start a new life. Necip Çağhan Özdemir states that he made Pure White “in order to examine individuals who had commited great sins within the framework of their own beliefs, seek shelter in vain.”
