The 57th edition of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is now accepting submissions. The Festival will be hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and run from October 3-10 2020.
The Mayor of Antalya, Muhittin Böcek, announced in a written statement that the 57th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival would be held from October 3-10 2020.
The Festival program will include the National Feature Film, Documentary and Short Film competitions, as well as the Antalya Film Forum and International Feature Film Competition. Prizes worth a total TL1.37 million will be awarded.
Mr. Böcek noted that emphasis would be given to open-air screenings this year as part of Covid-19 measures, and that extensive precautions would be taken to keep guests and audiences safe.
To be eligible for the National Competition, Turkish productions must have been completed after September 16 2019 (the submission deadline for the 56th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival), must not have screened commercially or as a public preview in Turkey prior to the 57th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, and must not have been presented at any national festival. Film submissions must be made online via the Festival website and be received by the deadline at 18.00 on Friday, August 14 2020.
Following on from last year’s launch of the Golden Orange Film School, which welcomed 150 students in Antalya, Mr. Böcek announced that this year’s edition would be held online.
The Antalya Film Forum, a sidebar event geared towards supporting new Turkish film projects, will take place online this year between October 5-7 2020. Details of the submission process will be announced in the next few days.
