Films Revealed for the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival National Feature Film Competition

The 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality between October 7-14, has unveiled the 10 films which will be participating in the highly anticipated National Feature Film Competition and will premiere in Antalya, Türkiye. Presided over by Antalya Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek, the National Feature Film Competition received 43 film submissions.

10 Films to Compete in the National Feature Film Competition!
The 10 films set to compete in the National Feature Film Competition have been chosen by a committee comprising Sevin Okyay, Mehmet Açar, and Muammer Brav. These selected films will contend for the prestigious Golden Orange Awards across 14 different categories.

8x8 by Kıvanç Sezer, A Hero of Our Time by Miraç Atabey, Belonging by Mete Gümürhan, Dormitory by Nehir Tuna, Hesitation Wound by Selman Nacar, Life by Zeki Demirkubuz, Not What You Think by Vuslat Saraçoğlu, Sacrifice by İsmail Güneş, Suddenly by Melisa Önel, and The Reeds by Cemil Ağacıkoğlu make up the list of exciting films competing for the Golden Orange awards this year.

Notably, five of these competition films, 8x8, A Hero of Our Time, Life, Not What You Think, and Sacrifice, which will be screened in Antalya for the first time in Türkiye, will also make their world premieres at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. A Hero of Our Time, Belonging, and Dormitory will be eligible for the Behlül Dal Best First Feature Award, designated for directors making their debut at the festival.

The National Feature Film Competition's jury, led by Demet Akbağ, will choose the recipients of the awards, which have a total value of TRY 945 thousand. Like last year, the Film Directors Association jury will select the Film-Yön Best Director Award winner, while the Film Critics Association (SİYAD) jury will determine the SİYAD Best Film Award winner.These prestigious awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony on October 14th.
