The 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is now accepting submissions for the National Competitions. Hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the Festival will take place from October 1-8, 2022.

Final Submission Deadline for National Competitions: August 4

In a written statement, Mayor of Antalya Muhittin Böcek announced that a total TL 940 thousand worth of prize money would be awarded in this year’s National Competitions. Restored to the Golden Orange in 2018 — the year Mr. Böcek took office — the National Competitions cover Feature Film, DocumentaryFilm and Short Film categories.

To be eligible for the National Feature Film, National Documentary and National Short Film Competitions, films must be Turkish productions completed after the August 9, 2021. Additionally, entries must not have been previewed or screened publicly in Turkey prior to the 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, nor have been presented at any other national festival. Submissions, which should be made online through the Festival website, will close at 18.00 on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

True to tradition, the National Competitions will run alongside the International Competition at this year’s 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. New to this year’s program, though, is the exciting launch of the Golden Orange Adapted Feature Film Screenplay Competition. Competitions aside, the Festival will also feature the Antalya Film Forum, the industry platform supporting audiovisual production, and the fourth edition of the Golden Orange Film School, a big hit with aspiring young filmmakers. Details of all three events will be announced in the coming days — likewise of the Festival’s out-of-competition sections, which promise a line-up of the finest productions from the recent year.

The 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is chaired by the Mayor of Antalya, Muhittin Böcek, and executive directed by Cansel Tuncer, while Ahmet Boyacıoğlu takes on the role of Festival director and Başak Emre of artistic director.
