The 56 th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, which begins on October 26, has today announced the titles that will compete in the feature film category of the National Competitions. This year sees the return of the National Competitions after a two-year hiatus. Fifty applications were received for the National Feature Film Competition, of which 10 films have been officially selected. Six of these will have their World Premiere while Eight of these will have their Turkish premiere at the Festival.
Director, Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun, along with film critics, Sevin Okyay and Mehmet Açar, made up the pre-selection committee, which decided on the following competition line-up:

Film Directors’ Guild to Name “Director of the Year”
Two further awards will be presented in the National Feature Film Competition, the first by the Turkish Film Directors’ Guild (Film-Yön) and the second by the Turkish Association of Film Critics (SİYAD). A jury composed of the film directors, Biket İlhan, Murat Düzgünoğlu and Melih Saraçoğlu, will decide on the winner of the Film-Yön Best Director Award, while film critics Agah Özgüç, Banu Özdemir and Bülent Vardar will make up the jury awarding this year’s SİYAD Prize.
